The Samsung SyncMaster 731–B 17–inch flat panel LCD is one of the few monitors in this price range with pivot technology. This is one of the few monitors in this price range to offer this option.
This monitor offers a contrast ratio of 600:1 with up to 16.7 million colors, additionally it runs an 8 ms response time. This model has a digital or analog interface. Additionally it is Mac compatible and energy efficient. A user manual and FAQs are posted online and Samsung offers a three–year parts/labor/backlight warranty.
This monitor would have been near perfect if it included speakers and an earphone jack. The 731–B is on par with many LCD monitors in its price range and distinctive pivot ability gives it a slight edge. However, gamers may want to look at the LG monitor, which is really fast at 4ms, or for USB ports and pivot technology see the Dell review.
